Matthew A. Sauer

Matt Sauer is a Director on the Board for RNA. Mr. Sauer is a Senior Global Human Resources Executive with close to forty years of experience with two Global Fortune 100 companies.  In his last role Mr. Sauer was the Senior Vice President Worldwide, for the $29.5 billion Ingram Micro Inc., reporting to the CEO and the Board.  Based in the corporate headquarters of Santa Ana, California, Mr. Sauer spent his last five years as an Officer for the company.  His executive responsibilities covered North and South America, Europe Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific.   

Mr. Sauer provides consulting support to RNA for Chief Executive Officer, Functional leadership and Human Resources positions.  His previous history with Corporate Governance and Board reporting makes Mr. Sauer an exceptionally credible advisor to large and small to mid-sized companies.  Mr. Sauer’s strengths lie in assisting the CEO in defining strategic human resource goals to support the company's long term business plan. Mr. Sauer’s rich executive experience in problem solving has proven to be invaluable to the executive team and the CEO.  A significant portion of Matt's work lies in the area of Succession Planning; the assessment of the current management team, their development into future leaders, as well as identifying gaps and making recommendations for new talent opportunities.  Mr. Sauer is a respected advisor, coach and mentor to the executive team. Mr. Sauer’s success is in some ways an outcome of his reputation; Mr. Sauer is sought after for his high integrity and his ability to improve performance in his colleagues. He is a confidante and coach to several of his colleagues and members of his community.

In addition to his engagement with RNA, Mr. Sauer is on a long term assignment as a Human Resource Interim Executive for Cerius Interim Executive Solutions.  Cerius is a leader in delivering interim executive management solutions with the innovation and speed that small to medium businesses need to tackle their business opportunities or to mitigate risk.

Mr. Sauer is also the President of the Board for Hi Hopes Identity Discovery Foundation, Inc.  A non-profit in the field of art education, Hope U. was founded in 1979 as an institution to offer "arts-infused" curricula for adults with developmental disabilities but with special gifts and talents in fine arts.  The school's slogan is to "train the talent and diminish the disability".

Matt and his wife Sheryl, who is an artist, have made significant contributions to the Visual and Performing Arts community in Orange County.
